Overview
Ellie and Fred’s home, a Grade II listed 19th-century townhouse in Stoke Newington, was the perfect canvas for reimagining three key bathrooms: a new primary en suite, a vibrant children's bathroom and a small downstairs loo.
They envisioned designs that cater to their vibrant family life. We brought their vision to reality with a luxurious Art Deco-inspired primary en suite, a bold and playful children’s bathroom and a budget-friendly "pretty-in-pink" loo.

Their renovation journey

1. Plan
Brooke planned Ellie and Fred’s renovation around their family’s busy travel schedule. As their home is a listed building, we worked with a conservation consultant to make sure none of the changes required planning permission.

2. Design
Ellie and Fred collaborated with Simon to bring their vision to life. The children’s bathroom, inspired by the vibrant Jardin Majorelle in Morocco, features a playful, bright design with a pink statement bathtub and clever layout solutions for its compact size. Simon brought Ellie’s vintage Art-Deco vision to life in the primary en suite by combining classic marble elements, a soft pink palette and striking geometric tiling, with ample storage for practicality. In the downstairs WC, a deep sink was added to make it perfect for Fred’s shaving routine.

3. Build
Beams paired Ellie and Fred with our contractor Tom and his team. Tom has 22 years experience. He’s been running his company since 2015 and has completed 150 bathrooms, as well as 21 full home renovations. His customers compliment him for his attention to detail and punctuality, which was vital given Ellie and Freddie’s busy schedules.
